Nov 9 2008 is the eighteenth annual promotion of Fire Safety Day. In Shanghai Yongguan Chongming Plant, a promotion activity with the topic of “everyone to learn fire security, welcome the world expo in safety” was held in conjunction with the fire control rehearsal by the firefighters from Chongming fire security detachment. 75 firefighters, over 400 employees, 1 fire commander vehicle and 11 fire engines conducted the rehearsal, Chief of County Fire Fighting Detachment Mr. Zhao Wan Hui, Deputy Chief Mr. Cheng Jin Ming, Town Governor of Xianghua Town Mr. Huang Hai Sheng, and Deputy Director of Xianghua Police Station together with CEO of Yongguan Group Mr. Gu Yong Quan were all present and looked on the whole program.

 

 

This rehearsal consisted of three segments, fire escape, fire rescue, and fire extinguishment. In order to accomplish this fire rehearsal, the fire fighting detachment and our company made careful preparation and thoughtfully organized the overall program. Sure enough, the program proved a great success and acted tensely and orderly through concerted efforts of each department.

 

 

When the rehearsal finished, CEO of Yongguan Mr. Gu Yong Quan extended warm greetings to all the participants in this program and expressed sincere thankfulness to the fire fighting crew. He emphasized on the below four points: one is to set up fire security mechanism and keep conscious of the fire security in the plant. Second is to improve the leadership and identify the responsibilities to implement the fire safety system. Thirdly, perfect the mechanism, enhance the management and focus on the details. Finally, promote the fire safety concept. He advised that all the staff should take the advantage of this rehearsal to improve fire conscientiousness and learn self-rescue skills. Fire accidents are no doubt devastating to the involves, we must protect ourselves and our plant from the fire through unrelenting efforts to build a “safe and harmony” company. “It is significant for Yongguan Group to hold the promotion that works to popularize the knowledge of the fire safety. And it is worth learning and using for other enterprises reference.” Xianghua Town Governor Mr. Huang Hai Sheng spoke highly of this fire rehearsal. He wished that we could keep in mind the concept of safety first and fire security important than anything else and pay more attention to the fireproofing.
